Country’s one of the apex trade bodies Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has celebrated its 60th founding anniversary on 24 February at Golf Club in the capital. DCCI President Abul Kashem Khan announced that marking the celebration of 60th founding anniversary, DCCI would organise an international conference titled ‘Destination Bangladesh’ to showcase Bangladesh’s potentials to lure foreign direct investment in the country.
FBCCI President Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin; BGMEA President Siddiqur Rahman; Former Presidents of DCCI MA Sattar were present in the anniversary programme along with all members of DCCI.DCCI is the largest and most active chamber of the country established in 1958 under companies Act 1913. Its membership consists of industrial conglomerates, manufacturers, importers, exporters and traders mostly of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The main objectives of DCCI are to promote private sector enterprises and businesses with advocacy, awareness and policy inputs to government.
