Exhibitors comments…

Shahnewaz Chowdhury NAF Overseas (Pvt.) Ltd.

This exhibition is for chemicals and fabrics. We had some enquiries but not too many. 2019, the market is little slow, but we hope 2020 it will be better. We are displaying some printing machines and embroidery machines with new technics. Budget introduced by govt.

is good, but govt. has to think ways and make policies to increase our export. The value addition is the only way forward and garment exporters should invest in new embroidery machines and printing machines. Besides, threads, colours, accessories and other raw material should be made duty free by the govt.

Viney Pandita Zydex

We are a manufacturer of chemicals for rotary and screen printing. This is a good platform to mark our presence and know the Bangladesh market, and be present for the future. We are just six months old in this country and already have three-four corporate customers here. We hope to have another 10 by the end of this year.

So, we are expecting to get some good leads from this show to do quality business in Bangladesh and establish us here. At this show, we are exhibiting PVC free water based screen printing inks for T shirt printing. Our non-plastisol ink range of Whites and Clears define global standards for opacity, feel, stretch and wash durability. Basically, we are covering complete range of products for printing. Besides, we have recently launched a new product called reactive replacement in pigments.

Tariq UL Islam Imperial

When compared to last edition, first two days were almost similar, but on day three and four there was pool of people who were interested in our technologies. We are exhibiting new products for digital printing, new systems for ecological discharge certificate, new technology for silicon, our range of pigment, and others range for printing.

The govt. should make more industry friendly policies and also reduce the duties so that it becomes easier for textile industry here to compete globally. This way more imported technologies could be installed in our industry.

Hitesh Sonwane, VN Texports

This expo so far is good. But at the moment, market in Bangladesh is not very good. At this expo a lot of buyers have visited our stall and crowd is also very nice. We expect that within few months we will have good response from the people who have visited our stall.

At this moment we have zari yarns with us and also polyester yarns. So as a trading company we can supply whatever requirement is of the clients. In 2019 market condition has grown rapidly down. We have been expecting to improve in 2020 and will cover up whatever drawback we had.

Shantanu Kumar Mallick Rossari Biotech Limited

We are getting excellent feedback; there are a lot of customers who are visiting our stall. We are biggest and leading chemical company in India today. We are doing very well across the globe. We always participate in this show; it is quite encouraging for us.

There are plenty of opportunities in Bangladesh today. Through this show we get opportunity to connect with our customers, competitors and other industry people. We are showing customers what new has been developed by us and future trends.

Manoj Maheshwari Alltex Exim Pvt. Ltd.

The response is good but not better than last year. We have complete range of polyester, nylon, arcylic and cotton yarns. This year actually around the world recession is going on but still we are doing well.

We are having our roots in Bangladesh market since 2010 so we are doing well. We are trying to give survival to local weavers also. The govt. should make more flexible import policy so that common weaver can earn money instead of large traders.

Punit Makharia Dyecol

We believe that this is a very good exhibition forum, very nicely organised. These kinds of platform are very useful for the industry. Bangladesh is a huge textiles market; these kinds of shows bring all the buyers, customers, traders together on an equal platform whereas they get all the products from buttons to fabrics to machineries, dyes and chemicals.

We entered Bangladesh market last year via this exhibition. We found it very useful as our brand has been accepted and got good recognition in Bangladesh. We hope our business grows more here in future.

Roy Stones Chromatol (Shanghai) Chem-Tech Co., Ltd

Our booth is number one in whole exhibition. We have the most number of visitors; it’s been extremely successful as we got a lot of good leads to take it into the future. We are exhibiting reactive dyestuff for cotton exhaust dyeing and continuous dyeing.

Year 2019 globally was just about meeting our expectations. We align to produce 40,000 tonne of reactive dyes, which I am expecting to sell all. Next year we are planning to invest another 20,000 tonne. Output will make us no.2 or no. 3 reactive dyes producer in the world.

Sarwar Jahan Chowdhury Jiangsu CMZ Zipper SCI & Tech Co., Ltd.

This edition response at the exhibition is not very good. Footfall is less than last year. Our main product is zipper which has been displayed here. We have also started manufacturing buttons, some other metal items and sewing thread.

So, everything is supplied to nominated buyers. In 2019, the market is little bit down than 2018, as European buyers have reduced their orders. But we expect next year it will be good again.

Satyaki Bhowmik MicroChem

We are participating in this show every year. We got customers from Bangladesh and other countries. Along with that we not only sell our products but we sell our concepts. We always believe in new concepts and process with new technologies, so that we give our customers something innovative and new, which will not only save their process cost, but along with it we focus on energy and environment saving also.

Our aim is to sell products which are green, cost effective and innovative. So, this show has given us platform to promote our concepts to the world.

Tawhidul Islam (TED), TED Machineries Corporation

We are getting good response at the exhibition. We are exhibiting computerised embroidery quilting machine. We are the only company in Bangladesh providing these machines along with service centre and spare parts for our customers.

So, it’s a very good opportunity for quilting factories here to come and avail service from our office in Bangladesh. Our machines are very popular in South Asia so we hope to get good business from Bangladesh also.

Vijay Desai, Shrihari Dyes & Chemicals

We are present in Bangladesh market for quite a long time. But this is for the first time we are exhibiting ourselves, as we see huge potential in local as well as export markets here. We met many customers at this show so it was a win-win situation for us. We manufacture reactive dyes, mainly direct dyes which are used in textile industry.

We are here to serve, and yes we are getting very good response from customers. Our production for Bangladesh market has increased in past sometime. Hopefully, we will double our quantity in 2020.

Ravindranath Banga, Ravali Spinners

Through this exhibition we are mainly understanding present trends, what international market needs, basically collecting information. We are exhibiting cotton yarns as we have different qualities in all varieties of cotton. We are manufacturing from six counts to sixty counts.

Out of our total production 40 per cent is exported to Bangladesh. Bangladesh is very emerging market, there is lot of scope to improve because China labour prices are going high, so definitely Bangladeshi exporters can benefit out of it.

Mahbubur Rahman, GEO Chem Consumer Products Services (CPS) Ltd

We are an independent inspection and testing company from India. Through years of offering dedicated and professional services to our clients, we have built up enough confidence in the international trade to merit 100 per cent exclusive nominations from our clientele despite stiff competition.

We are new in Bangladesh, and have started our operations in last January. This is our first time at any exhibition in Bangladesh and we are getting very good response.

V. Ramchandran Sundaram Textiles Pvt Ltd

We are doing this market for 10 years and are already having some customers. This edition overall response was good even I met some new customers also. It seems my team will be expanded. We are displaying cotton yarn here.

Compared to previous years, 2019 have been bit slow. Overall scenario was not so good not only in Bangladesh or India but world over. Bangladesh somehow is still doing OK. I hope the market improves next year.

Frank Zhang EPCB Boilers

In the beginning we felt that customers’ feedback was not satisfactory but day-by-day football improved gradually. Our main product here in Bangladesh is industrial steam boiler and industrial thermo oil boiler. We have been in this market for six years and our business is increasing here every year.

We are getting more customers in 2019 than last year and definitely we are expecting to get more business in 2020 with our improved and newly designed technologies especially for Bangladesh.
